Tales of the Moon

The indie folk duo, formed by singer-songwriters Mila Ziska and Junae, is based between Berlin and the Scottish Highlands. Their music invites listeners on an inward journey: into stillness, emotion, and the vast landscapes within.
Both artists grew up deeply rooted in music. Mila was born into a family of traditional folk musicians and dancers, while Junae’s early years were shaped by pop and classical music, including performances with the State Opera in Dresden. Together, they merge their diverse influences into a delicate yet immersive sonic world defined by warm vocal harmonies, atmospheric textures, and organic instrumentation.
Since forming in early 2020, Tales of the Moon have performed across Germany, Scandinavia, and Scotland, including appearances at international festivals such as the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival in Finland. The duo has completed multiple tours and continues to build a growing presence on the European indie folk scene.
In 2025, they released their self-titled debut EP, followed by a sold-out release show and a subsequent tour through Scotland. Later that year, they unveiled their collaborative EP ‘Only Stillness’, which received multiple radio airplays and led to a live radio interview and performance at Sunray FM (GER) in early 2026.
Currently, Tales of the Moon are focusing on bringing their music to the stage, while writing new material that continues to explore themes of personal growth, connection, and inner landscapes.
