4 weeks of the best beers and good craic. Good beer demands to be drunk, otherwise it won't be good for very long. So expect a full and rotating range of ales for the middle fortnight and we'll present as many as trade dictates that we can for the opening and closing weeks. Weekends will of course feature the full line up.

Mountain Rescue And Search Dogs

Heather has 30 years of experience climbing, skiing & mountaineering. She works as a the Mountain Safety Advisor for the Mountaineering Council of Scotland and is the owner of  rescue dog Milly. Her lecture focuses on Scottish Mountain rescue and the role that Search & Rescue dogs play within this.

Summit or Survive

Adele loves the Scottish hills, has climbed all around the world and has made ascents of numerous Himalayan Giants including Everest, Cho-oyu and Manaslu. In 2010 she returned from Makalu where she turned back just 150m from the summit in a battle of survival. In 2011 Adele faced her fears and went back to Makalu, this time succesfully reaching the summit. Adele's talk 'Summit & Survive' will relive these experiences and highlight how safety and common sense are key in survival in the mountains.

Winter Climbing

A well known MIC, Richard has been running his mountaineering business for over 10 years from the foot of Ben Nevis. He has climbed all over the world but is best known for his coaching and teaching of Winter climbing and his knowledge of Ben Nevis. He is a member of Lochaber Mountain rescue Team and his talk will be about being safe, quick  & efficient and getting the most out of a Scottish Winters day.
